You're born into a world with expectations. The moment your eyes open, your parents, family, all project their hopes and dreams onto you.
Become a doctor, a school teacher, an astronaut. From that first breath, you're living your life for someone else.
Now, here, as you sit on your tablet, phone or whatever other device your connected too reading these words---I ask you---when was the last time you lived for you? When was the last time you opened your eyes and basked in the sun, feeling its warmth radiate around you and said-"This day is mine..."
I've got a secret, everyday can be like that. You can make choices that guide you towards your deepest hidden desires.
My challenge for you is to live-today-as if it's your last because tomorrow's never promised.
Open your eyes and see your potential. I see it, right there beneath the pain and self-doubt.
Take it-it's yours.
I LOVE getting messages from my readers. I've got a few over the weekend and thought I'd do a post to answer the common questions I keep getting.
1) Fix you was my first m/m romance but definitely, won't be my last! Brad (remember the hunky, cutie from Fix you?) has his own story that has already been finished and sent off! Also, Melanie is getting her own story, Full-length novel titled Three Empty Words! I'm about 16,000 words into this. They can all be read as standalone's but obviously, reading the others would be helpful and make you most invested in the characters.
2) The last book (que my tears) in the Thin Red Lines series is Desiree Garcia's story. I'm about 7000 words in. She is speaking too me now-thank goodness!
Pretty much I'm a writing machine. I also have another standalone that was finished this summer titled Skin Deep, that holds a special place in my heart. It deals with segregation and racism in the deep south from 1940-1960's. This is in the hands of Hot Tree and I will let you know any updates as soon as I get them.
I'm taking my time with the two WIPS right now and enjoying them. I am trying to work on my dissertation (Goal was to have done before I'm 30 which not sure this will happen) and teach at two different universities and enjoy my favorite time of year-Fall. It's even more exciting this year with the new house!
As far as 2017 signings, right now all I have confirmed in the RT2017. I will be there for the entire week and cannot wait to meet all the lovely ladies that have become such good friends from Hot Tree. I will update if I add anymore (which I hope too)!
I'm super blessed with all the releases one of which, Fix you, hit the best seller list. I stepped out of my comfort zone with that one and it has been received well so far. Thanks to everyone who's been reading it and leaving reviews.
Here are the buy links for what is out currently:
Be sure to grab the anthology that I'm apart of that is being released Tuesday!
Feel free to ask questions or what not! I love chatting!
Love and happy reading,
